Do dolphins actually use tools

I recently read about bottlenose dolphins using marine sponges as tools to protect their snouts while foraging on the seafloor. It made me wonder how widespread this behavior is among different dolphin populations and what implications it has for understanding their intelligence. Has anyone come across similar research or examples in other marine mammals?
